Sometimes remodeling is not the answer because the real goal is an entirely new home. Day One Specialties can help bring a new residential build together from the structural stages through the rooms and finishing details that make it yours.
Your home does not have to follow one formula. For example, you may prefer a traditional stick-built house, a barndominium or a post-frame design. Modular construction and metal or steel-frame homes can also provide different possibilities.
Most importantly, the house should make sense for your property, lifestyle and design preferences. We can discuss the type of home you have in mind and how the larger construction plan can come together.

Explore Bathroom RemodelingExplore Materials, Colors & Wood
Remodeling becomes personal in the details. Stone, tile, paint colors and wood species can completely change the character of a room. Therefore, we help homeowners explore combinations that fit both the house and the finished look they want.
Stone & Tile
Compare warm, cool, subtle and dramatic surfaces for countertops, floors, showers and other areas. The right stone or tile can become a focal point or quietly support the rest of the room.
Colors
Color sets the mood before furniture or décor ever enters the room. Explore warm neutrals, natural greens, deep blues, earthy tones and modern darker shades for walls, cabinetry, trim and other finishes.
Wood Species
Wood brings natural texture and warmth into a home. Different species offer their own grain, tone and character for cabinetry, furniture, doors, built-ins and other custom woodworking.
Custom Bed Swings
Some projects are about more than remodeling a room. Day One Specialties also builds custom bed swings that combine handcrafted woodworking with the comfort of an oversized hanging daybed. Designed for porches, covered patios and backyard retreats, they can become one of the most memorable places on the property.

Learn More About Day One Specialties
Day One Specialties grew from a hands-on background in custom furniture and woodworking. Owner Abe Outten began by building pieces such as barn doors, cabinets and custom furniture. Eventually, that work expanded into complete kitchen and bathroom remodeling and full-service residential construction.
Today, the company brings that same custom mindset to larger projects. Whether the vision is an old farmhouse-inspired home, a clean modern interior or something in between, the goal is to understand what the homeowner wants and build around it.
